I'm Ashfaq Islam, a supply chain professional, photographer, writer, travel enthusiast. I was born and brought up in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, besides the longest beach in the world, where I developed a strong cultural appreciation and an appreciation for diversity. After completing high school, I was moved to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to pursue my higher studies. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North South University, Bangladesh, where I developed a strong foundation in business and commerce. Building on that, I went on to pursue an MSc in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Salford, United Kingdom, where I deepened my knowledge and expertise in these areas. This rigorous academic program, combined with my hands-on experience, has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the supply chain and procurement field.
Currently, I work for an international humanitarian organization as a supply chain professional, where I have been able to apply my skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. My experience and commitment to excellence have made me a valuable member of the organization and a trusted leader in the supply chain and procurement community. My international background has provided me with a unique perspective on supply chain and procurement operations and has made me well-suited for working with international organizations.
In addition to my professional accomplishments, I'm also a business researcher and aspiring writer. I'm deeply committed to thinking critically about business and commerce and am passionate about finding creative and effective solutions to the challenges faced by organizations in the supply chain and procurement fields.
I'm a passionate photographer. I love capturing the beauty of the world around us through my lens. Landscape and portrait photography are my specialties, and I pour my heart into every shot.
I believe that photography is all about the art of observation. It's not just about what you see, but the way you see it. I take this philosophy to heart, and I use my camera to explore the world and bring my unique perspective to each and every shot.
As a famous photographer once said, "Photography is the art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." I strive to live up to this sentiment, using my camera to capture the essence of my subject matter and convey my vision to others.
On my website, you'll find a collection of my favourite images, carefully curated and lovingly crafted. Each one tells a story and invites you to experience the beauty of the world in a new way. Whether you're an art collector or simply looking for inspiration, I hope my photography will move and inspire you.
I love to travel and do it with all my heart. I have always been fascinated by the diversity of cultures and landscapes that our world has to offer. My favourite writer Mark Twain once said, "Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." I couldn't agree more with this sentiment, and it has been my guiding principle in life.
Through my travels, I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that I want to share with you all. From trekking through the mountains to relaxing on a tropical beach, I have seen and done it all. I have also met amazing people along the way, each with their own stories to tell. Through my blog, I hope to inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and explore the world. As Ibn Battuta once said, "Travelling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." Join me on this journey of discovery and let's explore the world together and let's create some amazing stories together!
